Creation date: 12/19/2025 9:17 AM    Updated: 12/19/2025 9:39 AM   cutoff display issue library registry text font display window

If you are experiencing display issues with the PTW32 library interface (like the image below), please follow the steps outlined within this article to resolve the problem.

This display glitch generally occurs under the “Trip Curves” tab regarding the “Pickup” type calculation. The root cause is related to the font data presented in the Windows Registries. As you may view other “Types,” the fonts are configured by being bolded and resized under this window. As this is hard-coded into the software, the interface relies on the operating system’s registry configurations to render correctly.

To resolve this issue, you will need to modify the following:

1.) Open the Registry Editor application: Use the Windows start menu to search for “regedit”

Please run the application as administrator

2.) Navigate to the following path:

 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE < SOFTWARE < Microsoft < Windows NT < CurrentVersion < FontSubstitutes

3.) Right-click the background of the location to create a new string:

4.) Name the String: MS Sans Serif

5.) Assign Value Data: Double click on the new “MS Sans Serif” to enter “Microsoft Sans Serif” in the Value Data field:

Once the changes are applied, they should appear as follows:

Next, relaunch PTW32. If the issue persists, please restart your device.

You may also try reimplement the Value data for “Helv,” from “MS Sans Serif” to “Microsoft Sans Serif,” instead of creating the new string.
