What is the definition of Line Side?

Apply fault to each side of a protective device, you will see more current going to the line side than the load side.

In the case below, B-SWBD1 is reported in the AF Line Side Report because 9232 Amps is going to the line side and only 773 Amps is going to the other end - which is the load side. Since the load side is also a bus, we report it in the Bus Report and no need to repeat in the Load Side Report.

If you look at LVP1, it is reported in the Load Side Report because only 773 Amps is going to the load side compare to 9232 Amps going to the other end – which is the line side. Since the line side is also a bus, we report it in the Bus Report and no need to repeat in the Line Side Report.
