Tolerance Field for Utility Component

Question:
What are the voltage and contribution tolerances in the Utility component?

Answer: For “Min Voltage” if the user enter “-3%”, we are treating the Initial Voltage in 0.97 per unit. Min Voltage of 1.0% and Max Voltage of 5%, will translate to Initial Voltage of 1.01 to 1.05 per unit. Min Voltage of -1.0% and Max Voltage of 5%, will translate to Initial Voltage of 0.99 to 1.05 per unit. Negative entries are allowed to provide flexibility for the user.

For “Min Tolerance” for Contribution, if the user enter “-3%”, we are treating the Contribution as (5000 – 0.03*5000) MVA. Min Contribution of 3.0% and Max Contribution of 5%, which translate to Contribution of (5000 + 0.03*5000) MVA to (5000 + 0.05*5000) MVA. Min Contribution of -3.0% and Max Contribution of 5%, which translate to Contribution of (5000 - 0.03*5000) MVA to (5000 + 0.05*5000) MVA.

These tolerances will only take into effect when specifically selected in the setup options of the studies.
