PTW Error - "Code Execution cannot proceed"

After installation, opening PTW software lead to a system error indicating a missing file: 

"The code execution cannot proceed because common.dll was not found"

Possibly caused by antivirus or antimalware apps blocking certain dll files. Adding the dll to the app's whitelist allowed the program to work properly.
